Graham & Rosen Solicitors have our main office based on Parliament Street in the beautiful old town area of Hull. Our law firm has been serving the people of Hull and East Yorkshire for over 130 years.
1795
Back in 1795, an Improvement Act was passed to clear the area’s slums and our home, Parliament Street, was built. By 1823, the street was thriving as a professional centre for merchants and solicitors.
1885
Graham & Rosen dates back to 1885 when Dr H Woodhouse was admitted as a solicitor. Parliament Street became the heart of the legal sector in Hull, and saw many solicitors setting up in practice. Around 1924, Ernest Frederick Graham joined Dr H Woodhouse to form ‘Woodhouse & Graham’.
1930
Around the same time as the formation of ‘Woodhouse & Graham’, Benno Pearlman set up in practice a few doors down. Benno later took on partner Lionel Rosen to form ‘Pearlman & Rosen’ in 1930.
1975
Over the years, various partnerships and mergers have seen ‘Woodhouse & Graham’ become ‘Graham, Redman & Co’. Then, in 1975, a merger with ‘Pearlman & Rosen’ brought about the ‘Graham & Rosen’ we know today.
