National Minimum Wage Rises

The last rise in the National Minimum Wage was in October 2016.  However, the rates rose again in April this year.  They are now:-

* £7.50 per hour - 25 years and over

* £7.05 per hour - 21 to 24 year old

* £5.60 per hour - 18 to 20 year old

* £4.05 per hour - 16 & 17 year old

* £3.50 per hour - apprentices in the first year of apprenticeships under 19 years old

Rates will change every April and current forecasts predict that the over-25 rate will increase to £9.00 per hour by 2020.
